These meds I'm on make me soooooo sleepy! It's ridiculous! If you have a conversation with me I will yawn the ENTIRE time and it's not because you're boring. I can't read, watch t.v. or even SIT hardly because I'll just pass right out. I can't live like this! Well, actually, I could. I love to sleep and would be pleased as punch to sleep my life away but I think my kids and husband might miss me.....I said might.
Anyway, I have always been pretty sleepy in general, probably a thyroid issue like so many women in my family, or maybe just life, or maybe I'm just a complainer, but nontheless, I always suspected my house had a slow carbon monoxide leak and that was the cause of my fatigue. Even my sisters would come over to visit and within thirty minutes or so they would feel woozy. But then I moved, and....well, the carbon monoxide leak moved with me so.....I'm guessing....no leak.
But this time it's different. It's all out, drug-induced drowsiness (and can I just say while I'm on the subject that "May cause drowsiness" is not a powerful enough warning. I think it should say "Will cause lethargy"). So, I stayed awake long enough to call my drug dealer and he's out (how dare he take a vacation! "Crazy" never goes on vacation!) until the 5th. So I'll call him back then.......I need to go lay down.........just for one..........................

Wouldn't it be nice if one day a drug company could invent a drug that cures a problem - without having tons of side effects!

I AM EXACTLY THE SAME WAY about being sleepy at all those times and lethargic!!! im even that way right after i get up in the morning! its so nice to hear that im not the only one! i dont think mine is drug induced though because my mother is the same way only worse and she isnt on any kind of drugs like we crazy people take either. we both have a thyroid problem also so maybe thats the answer. its a big step for me to be able to joke about being crazy even though we really arent crazy in my opinion though. there are many definitions of crazy. i think that crazy means out of touch with reality or psychotic! one time when i was at my mothers she asked if i had taken my meds yet and then she said "dont forget to take them! i dont want you going crazy on me!" this upset me very much! just because you have a mental illnes DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU ARE CRAZY no matter how much we may joke about it! by the way it is very hard for me to say that i have a mental illness too!!!
When you find out the solution to the sleepiness, let me know since I'm on the same stuff. I live on 1-2 liters of Dr Pepper a day to stay awake in school!!!

Way to be, Carol! Mental illness is ok, and I'm proud of you for sticking up for yourself! I'm right with you on the definition of crazy.
Sorry about the crappy energy, Liz. Mom is going to the doctor for that very same thing. It's an epidemic!
I know you can barely see the baby's face but that picture on your post looks JUST like Ike when he was a baby. That's all I can think of every time I see it.
