Done like Dinna!!!!!!

I'm done with all my friggin' Christmas shopping! Just an hour before the sabbath. I'm so tired, and my feet are sore, but I feel so happy that it's done. And so help me, if next week finds me at Wal-mart for ANY reason.........!

Tha good, Tha bad, and Tha dirty!

The good news is I finally got that haircut I've been talkin' about and I like it pretty good! I at least have less hair to deal with and that is always my preference. But check with me tomorrow when it gets done by me instead of Natasha.

The bad news is Faith isn't speaking to me. I got onto her late last night (for good reason!) before I left her at Sarah's to spend the night. This included a time-out at Sarah's and a double chore when she got home today. When I picked her up tonight she tolerated me long enough to get the scoop on who attended her cousin Matthew's play at the middle school. Finding out the boy she likes was there prompted her to blame me for her having not chosen to attend. Then she went straight to the silent treatment. When we got home, she went grudgingly to her double chore duty and then holed up in her room. When I called her for prayers she scowled with the best of em' and then when I said,"Goodnight, I love you." I got the "no response" response. Nice. I'm seriously going to start a support group for mothers of tweens.

The dirty news is, I'm dirty. I'm just too nasty, crude and crass! I am actually getting worse as my dear sister so lovingly pointed out. She also informed me I sound way too much like Jared lately. I am not stealing his material! I won "Most Wittiest" in High School! ME! Not Jared! ME! But anyway, lately I am noticing that I am making even the crudest of my friends and family members blush. Those who have been exposed to my evil ways for years are like, "Did she just say that?" And I really need to stop! But I hardly know where to begin? How do you change the way your brain works? How do you get it out of the gutter when that is precisely where it has resided for the better part of 30 years? I know it has to be done but I'm scared I will never laugh again! These are the things that make me laugh! What do I do? See? That was funny. I almost said doo doo.

Off the Chiz-ain Dinner Par-tay!!!!

I thought this was a fun idea so thank you Laura. Here's the ten fictional people I would invite to my dinner party.

1) Captain von Trapp--I love this guy so much I sometimes call Jared Captain von Pabst just to play out my fantasies a bit.
2) Dog the Bounty Hunter--Yeah. Just try to read one page of his autobiography and tell me you don't love this guy. And I'd like him to bring his wife and all his kiddos.
3) John Travolta's character in hairspray. "She" is hilarious!
4) Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights. Yeah, I know he's moody and even violent but he's fine and I love him!
5) Mary Poppins. I want Julie Andrews at my party but only as someone the captain doesn't love because I only want him lovin' on me!
6) Jackie Chan. He isn't fictional but I once had a dream that he was my donut-delivery man and we made out hard-core! Now I'm in love. I'm pretty sure I'd fall in love with anyone who was delivering me donuts!
7) Homer Simpson. Seriously, is anyone funnier? But I'll have to sit him at the opposite end of the table from Jackie Chan. "Hey! Those are my donuts!"
8) Martha Stewart. She is pure fiction. No one can be like that fereel. And I want her to cook the whole meal for this party which I'm sure she will because, well, my cooking would never be up to her ridiculous standard!
9) Lady Elaine Fairchild. Remember her from Mister Rogers? When I was little I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen! I'd like to see how she aged. Hopefully she's not dead.
10) Marty McFly. I'd love him to teach me how to hitch a ride with my skateboard on the back of a truck. And I wouldn't mind going "Back to the Future"!
