Be very, very JEALOUS!

Okay, most of you won't be, but I can guarantee my sisters and probably my childhood friend Melanie will be jealous of this T-shirt! It is a Petrosky Elementary School T-shirt, and that just happens to be the greatest Elementary school that ever was. We all got to go there until we moved when I was in the fifth grade. It was AWESOME! And I was just recently wishing that I had a Petrosky Elementary school T-shirt. I even thought about getting online and trying to find one. Well, then, my brother Dave, who happens to be one of the best gift givers of all time, sent me one for my birthday! I screamed so loud it scared my kids. So thank you, thank you David! Oh! And it says 1987! It is vintage! I love it! IN YO FACE SISTAS!

Dish Duty

So I decided my kids need to do WAY more chores! Up until now, I've let them do a whole lot of cleaning things that are already clean so I don't have to relinquish control and actually let them make some mistakes.
My wake-up call came when I overheard Madison trying to teach Faith to do dishes at her house, and Faith spent the whole time saying, "Eww! I can't believe you touch other people's food!" Okay, you're spoiled! And it's totally my fault!
But, I'm proud to report that Faith did a whole load of dishes after dinner tonight! She put away the food (yes, other people's food!) AND wiped off the counters! Yay for her! Yay for me for easing up a little on my OCD! Next up? Laundrey!

The Man

I am just sitting here avoiding my dishes and washing my face. Actually, I'm mostly avoiding brushing my teeth. I hate doing that worse than anything. So boring, so redundant. My trip to the dentist proves I'm paying for my avoidance of it.

I went with Sarah, last night, to see Ronnie Milsap in concert. If you don't know who that is, be very ashamed and then listen to my play list. He is awesome! He has had 40 number 1 hits and has even played piano and sang backup for Elvis! He sounded so amazing live and he put on a really good show. Apparently, not everyone knows what a talent he is and the Arena Theatre was half empty so we got to move up from our really good seats to some SUPER good seats! Ronnie is blind so he couldn't see us but we could sure see him! Rhinestone shirt and sunglasses and all! We whooped and hollered and sang the songs we knew. We laughed at the super drunk guy and his girlfriend on the front row. We made friends with a Milsap fan and her boyfriend who was less than thrilled to be there! Afterwards we went to 59 Diner, a place I would suggest visiting if you have not! I got some killer breakfast burritos with a side of the best pecan waffles I've ever had. Sarah love her chicken-fried steak! It was a good time all around! Thanks for a wonderful birthday present, Sarah!
